Hacienda Chan Chan dairy products

Good day to all of you in Cuenca and nearby. We hope you are staying healthy and enjoying life.

My apologies for not getting this ad in until today...as they say, "la culpa es de la vaca". A cute story and message about blaming everyone but yourself and then in the end, they blame the cow. Of course, our cows are not to blame...they are the sweet creatures providing us with our delicious milk.

This week, in honor of all of our Veterans out there, we are offering you our cheese at $5/lb. Let us know you served and we'll be happy to offer the discount this week when you order.

For this week, we are happy to offer our Cheddar, Alpine and Swiss. The wheel of Cheddar is a mild/medium-ish cheese, perfect for grating, slicing and melting or simply cut and eaten with a cracker. Our Alpine has a stronger flavor, lots of big holes and creamy taste. Our Swiss wheel has more of a Baby Swiss taste. What is the difference, you ask? While a longer aged Swiss cheese has a mild flavor that is slightly sweet and nutty, our Baby Swiss is smoother, creamier and milder than its regular counterpart. At a reasonable $7/lb, a tasty treat.

All of our cheeses are made here on the farm with whole milk from our grass-fed mix of Jersey, Montbéliard and Holstein cows. The milk used in our cheese making is free of antibiotics and taken only from our cows. Because the cheese is an artisan cheese, each batch has its own unique characteristics.

Also available for purchase is our Greek yogurt ($2/lb), milk ($1.25/liter), cream ($2/liter), and cottage cheese ($4/lb). Please send in your orders for this week by 5 PM on Tuesday and let us know if it will be a delivery or pick-up at one of the locations listed above.

Please check out our website (www.haciendachanchan.com) for pictures of the farm, cows and our cabins that give you a chance to get away from it all. With little to no contact if you want, our cabins are a great retreat option for you and/or your family during these times. We also allow pets...so come enjoy some fresh air with your furry buddy. Explore our hiking trails, interact with all of the animals or simply sit by the fire and enjoy the peace and quiet. All of our cabins come with heaters and fireplaces to keep you warm at night. Try a night in our treehouse, perhaps the highest treehouse in the world (elevation-wise). Let us know if you are interested or have any questions.

We appreciate your business and wish you all the best of health.

Wednesday, Nov.11th, Tienda Nectar, Smokehouse (across the street from San Sebastian park) and Dos Sucres (Roberto Crespo Toral 3-56) 10 AM
