Update on COVID-19 at Hogar de Esperanza

We are grateful for all your support during these past few months as we dealt with COVID-19 here at Hogar de Esperanza. Thankfully, we were able to isolate those who became affected, no one became seriously ill and we were able to prevent its further spread within the foundation.

On Monday, we received the all-clear from our medical team that there are no more positive cases at the foundation. All of those who had been isolated with COVID-19 have since completely recovered from the infection and no longer pose any risk to others.

Although we continue operations during this crisis, while taking the recommended safety precautions, we are relieved that we can now return to some sense of normality. We continue to assist those in greatest need, be it through attending a medical appointment with a young man recently diagnosed with HIV and acquiring the medicines he needs to return to good health, clothing a two-month old baby, distributing food to a poor, elderly couple, feeding homeless youth a warm meal, or giving advice to a young, single mother trying to get her life back on track. The needs remain great, and we are here for them, now more than ever before.

If you would like to support our efforts in helping those in greatest need, you can make a donation at: https://www.givingway.com/project/a9af7d. Thank you so much – we could not do any of this without you.
