Hospital occupancy in Cuenca for coronavirus

In Thursday, Oct. 8's El Mercurio (article is not yet online) was an article saying that the number of patients in Cuenca in critical status from coronavirus has increased in the past week, which worries the Zone 6 Health Coordination governmental unit in view of the approaching three day weekend national holiday (9th of October).

Patients requiring a ventilator increased from 53 to 58, which means that all ICU beds are occupied, indicated Ivan Feican, manager of Vicente Corral Moscoso Hospital.

In contrast, this is the second week with fewer cases in the last two months, with less than half the number of new daily cases and with a reduction of hospitalized patients who do not require ventilators, who went from 144 to 130 in the last seven days.
