Sky is still hoping…

Sky needs a family. She's hoping to be your Best Friend.

We all know the terrible conditions for dogs on the streets right now. Many were once pets, many more, born and suffering in the streets now their sources for food have been limited, vet care non-existent.

I make no judgements, we feed the street dogs every night and have noticed an uptick in former pets. A family struggling to feed its children cannot feed its dog.

We don't know where Sky came from, but she lived her life with a cruel chain wrapped around her neck and dragging behind her. Starving, in pain, but sweet, docile and willing to trust. She found us and with the generosity of Caty Carrasco, who is fostering her, Dr. Gallardo, who spayed her, brought her up to date on shots and worming and medicine for her skin, Mauricio from Patan who helps us with sage advice, she is now healthy, beautiful and looking for a person or family to love.

Sky is a big girl, lab size, white with a few spots on her ears and in the middle of her now wagging tail. A three year old can walk her on the leash (ask for the video - so sweet!), it only took a few cookies to learn "Sit." She is learning to trust, is fine with kitties, but still not completely comfortable with other dogs. She indicates when she needs to relieve herself, rides quietly and regally in the car.

All she needs is a real home, where she can continue to trust and love.

Do you have room in your heart, your living room and your enclosed yard for Sky?

Unfortunately, we don't have room for a big girl like Sky. She needs love, someone to play with, protect and love.

An approved, responsible home will get a big bag of food, bowls, leash, balls and years of love and companionship.

If you're a big dog person, how big is the hole in your heart, the empty space in your living room? Sky is ready to fill it.

I will provide transportation to an approved home if needed.

Please, consider opening your heart and your home to Sky.
