Recommendation for Dr. Santiago Romo, orthopedist and regenerative medicine

My husband and I came to Cuenca for 3 weeks and the city went on lockdown after 2 weeks. We decided to stay because the pandemic was being taken more seriously in Ecuador than in Georgia where we came from.

While we were in Cuenca we took a series of ozone treatments from Dr Romo. I had contacted him before coming to Cuenca. My husband has disc issues and I have a scoliosis from having polio. After 13 sessions my husband is no longer taking pain pills, only occasionally if he overdoes it. As for me my back no longer hurts but i still take medication because of my legs.

Dr. Romo came to our hotel with his nurse. He was always punctual or called if something was going on. He is friendly, helpful and such a great human being.

The other story we have with Dr Romo shows what a great person he is. We were done with our treatments when my husband started complaining about a pain across the area of his stomach. It usually appeared in the afternoon after eating. After a couple of weeks he could not stand the pain. I called Dr Romo, he came that very afternoon. After examining him he thought it was his gall bladder and sent him to a specialist.

His gall bladder had to be removed right away. Dr. Romo took him to the hospital, assisted the doctor in his surgery, went to visit him the next day, then the following day brought him back to the hotel after stopping for meds at the pharmacy. He did all that a few days after his wife gave birth.
By now we feel like Dr. Romo is a member of the family. I am so grateful for his presence in our life.
