Amazon art - Nunkui shop and gallery

The Amazon is the largest tropical forest in the world, its ecosystems are of global importance, with one of the largest reserves of biodiversity on the planet. Hundreds of indigenous peoples inhabit it, who thanks to their ways of life have managed to conserve their territories. However, problems such as deforestation, the exploitation of natural resources, make this tropical forest in danger.

The Nunkui project proposes models of sustainable development, through alternative activities that can reactivate the economy and at the same time conserve natural and cultural resources. It is a great challenge, but we know that it is possible.

We invite you to learn about the Nunkui Project, in the shop-gallery, in Cuenca city, or through our website. Despite the difficulties, we continue with our goal, and we have managed to bring a variety of new pieces of art, from indigenous groups: Shuar, Achuar, Kichwa, Waorani and Andoa.

The trust and good energy of the communities and of our clients have been fundamental to keep this project alive.
