The next meeting of the Cuenca English Lions Club

Good morning everyone,

The next meeting of your Cuenca English Lions Club will begin on Monday, 3 August, at 12:30 PM. The meeting of course will be of the virtual type using the Zoom app as our meeting place.

We are excited to announce that our guest speaker for this meeting will be Sara Coppler, Director and Founder of IdiomART. IdiomART supports artists and writers in Cuenca with an affordable and creative environment in which to develop, improve and display individual artistic and written creations. Her presentation will last about 10 minutes and will be followed by a question and answer period. Any guests wishing to observe or to participate in this highly informative and interesting subject, please send a request to: to receive the appropriate Zoom access codes. CELC members can find the access codes in the members area of the CELC website.

Please also remember that during this all-encompassing crisis, your Cuenca English Lions Club is being very proactive in supporting those of our neighbors in dire need, especially as it relates to hunger and diabetic requirements. Please consider donating, knowing that every penny collected will be used to help those in critical need. To donate to the hunger project using PayPal, please use Write LIONS in the comment section and send as a personal transfer. Donations may also be made at JEP Cooperativo at: JEP bank account # 406109409401. The account name is Patrick Peregrino/Cuenca English Lions Club. Donations to the diabetes project may be made through a account created by Cuenca Lion Michael Churchman for Lions of Ecuador.

As we enter a new, likely difficult year, there are many challenges facing our adopted city and country. The Cuenca English Lions Club is poised to address many of those issues, especially as they apply to Hunger, Diabetes and Vision. Please consider joining a group of highly motivated individuals who are committed to improving the lives of those less fortunate.

Thank you, and stay safe and healthy
