• Cuenca English Lions Club (CELC) has service programs in Diabetes, Education, Hunger and Vision
• CELC members have given over $15,000 to local charities including Casa de la Diabetes, Cuenca Soup Kitchen, Hearts of Gold, Hogar de Esperanza, Mujeres con Exito, and others.
• CELC members have screened more than 2500 local students and faculty for vision problems using screening equipment donated by CELC members.
• CELC members and volunteers are providing opportunities for English language “practice” conversations for non-English speakers
• We have recently sponsored the chartering of a bi-lingual LEO club for young Lions
• We continue to meet on the 1st and 3rd Mondays from 12:30 until 2 PM via Zoom—visitors are welcome. The first Monday meeting features interesting and entertaining speakers. Our business meeting is on the third Monday meeting. Our meetings are conducted in English (hence the name), but we welcome all. Contact us at: CuencaEnglishLionsClub@gmail.com for information on how to visit a meeting.
• We welcome new members or transfers from other Lions Clubs.
