Nunkui Ecoferia Amazonica - Indigenous Crafts Gallery

Paul and Lucia's gallery store on Baltazara de Calderon 2-14 continues their mission to make authentic and unique handmade crafts available to the public. They have worked with indigenous cultures for more than 10 years and have deep, personal relationships with the craft makers. They have direct relationships with many communities of the rainforest—Shuar, Achuar, Kichwa and Waorani and regularly make journeys—sometimes days long—into the Amazonian villages to purchase these creative and lovely items. Many of the indigenous makers travel days to bring them to Paul and Lucia. Their small gallery store is a place you and your visitors will find the best examples of authentic indigenous crafts. The best thing about visiting their store is that Paul and Lucia can tell you everything about which village, family or individual made the item and explain how the materials and methods used by the indigenous makers reflect the resources available in their environments. Knowing about the origin and creation of your purchases will provide valuable memories for years to come.
