Hogar de Esperanza’s postponement of Salinas trip

We have received direction from the federal and municipal governments and our medical consultants regarding actions we need to take in an effort to control potential exposure to and spread of the Coronavirus. As a registered non-profit, we are required to follow the protocols as recommended.

Our medical consultants have directed us to postpone our public activities scheduled for Salinas at the end of March as well as we are initiating new protocols at the foundation. We are committed to our project of helping an underprivileged barrio to complete their community center, and during the current situation we will continue in a modified format. The community will be starting the work on their community center with the funds already raised, and we will continue fundraising efforts to complete the center where life-changing programs for the youth, especially the adolescent girls, will be held.

Thus, we will be delaying our trip to Salinas until we have received clearance from our medical experts that it is safe to travel and engage in community activities again. Situations like these put tremendous demands on our limited resources. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
