Participants for Ethnographic Study in Cuenca

Hello everyone, My name is Molly -- I'm a PhD student in linguistics, and I'm doing my dissertation on the Spanish of Cuenca. I'm currently looking for native speakers of Cuencano Spanish to participate in my dissertation research: specifically, it's a 40-55 minute recorded interview. (Even though it's recorded, no one has access to it but me. I have permission from the ethics board at my University, and show this to my participants before the interview starts.)

I'm mostly looking for people between the ages of 35-60, who are native to Cuenca, and who like to talk. The questions in the interview are very general -- mostly about daily life in Cuenca, what it was like to grow up here, etc.

There's no payment or anything for participating, but I usually meet the person at a local café and will treat them to coffee, lunch, or whatever they'd like.

If you know someone who'd be interested in volunteering an hour of their time, I'd be super grateful if you passed my phone number along to them. I can be reached by WhatsApp / sms / phone call at most hours of the day. Send me an email and I'll be happy to give you my phone number. Thanks,

Molly Cole
