Cerámica de Cuerda Seca Workshops at idiomART

Instructors: Artists Edgar León and Cristina Quinde

The origin of the "Cuerda Seca" (Dry rope) technique goes back to medieval times when the great cities of Southern Spain.

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
2 weeks with 2 choices: Morning or afternoon sessions
9 AM to Noon

or

3 to 6 PM

1st week will be learning how to model with clay.
2nd week will be creating and painting finish designs.

Workshop cost

$250 

Includes: 18 hours of hands-on instruction, all clay materials (glazes and tools), paints, and kiln firings.

Limited spots are available.  Please specify morning or afternoon sessions.

Artists Edgar Vicente Leon Segovia and Cristina Belen Quinde Herrera have their home and studio in Cuenca, Ecuador.  They are accomplished muralists as well as known for their works in ceramics, mosaics, and painting.
