An update on Julian

An update: When Julian fell, The screws holding the original rod pulled from his femur causing even greater damage to the bone. The additional damage is extensive and the conventional rods and screws available will not work. Dr. Santiago Romo, whom many of you know, has offered to perform the surgery at a greatly discounted cost, but the specialized hardware needed to save Julian's leg is expensive.

Thanks to you we are making progress but we still need to raise $5,000 more this week to pay for the anesthesiologist, materials, surgical suite, and post-op therapy. This translates to 50 of you good people donating $100, or 25 of you donating $200, or 10 of you donating $500. Whatever you can donate will be greatly appreciated. We have raised $2,000 thus far, so it is doable.

Gofundme is the best way for our friends in the States to donate and you can read Julian's story there: https://www.gofundme.com/f/julian039s-plight

Jane Miner will be at the soup kitchen today from 10 AM - noon to collect donations (enter the old cloisters area of the church at Padre Aguirre y Presidente Cordova), then at El Santo until 1:30. El Santo is just down from Sunrise, same side Sunrise but closer to Padre Aguirre.

Des will be at the Soup Kitchen on Thursday from 10:00 - 2:00.
Thank you all in advance

If you would like to donate in another way, please contact Des and Bill at desmion.dizney@gmail.com, Smith at smith@jlsdesigns.net, or Jane at jminer83@hotmail.com.
