Still using Windows 7? You could be in trouble after Jan 14

Microsoft has announced that will discontinue Windows 7 support after January 14th, no longer will update or provide support for the 10-year old operative system.

Recent reports suggest that Windows 7 is still being used on 39% of all PC.

So, what does that mean?

The "good" news is that after Jan 14th, you'll still be able to use Windows 7 for as long as you want. The bad, really concerning, news is that Microsoft will stop releasing updates and patches for any new viruses or security problems, and this leaves you extremely vulnerable to any new threats. It will be a big incentive for malicious users to target viruses and other attacks to Windows 7 users.

The real good news is that your Cuenca IT guy is here to help you in the transition to the newest Windows 10 version by backing up your valuable files, upgrading the hardware if needed, installing the new version of Windows and still making it look like the Windows 7 that you are used to.
