This Saturday. Join Keep Cuenca Beautiful and get to know your neighbors.

Keep Cuenca Beautiful is a group of expats and Cuencanos whose mission includes restoring tagged walls throughout the city, and to maintain the historical significance of this beautiful city's World Heritage Status.

We are all volunteers, working with the Cuenca Municipal offices, including the Department of Historical Areas, the Department of Public Works, the Citizen Guard, EMOV, EMAC, and more.

Join in. We work in teams, each team has a territory, and each team sets their own schedule to work, so there is definitely a time and date to volunteer that will fit your schedule.

We also work with the City Dept. of Public Works on Saturday "mingas" where we tackle big walls, like the one we made so beautiful this past Saturday on Calle Larga.

Join in This Saturday Feb 1, at 9 AM: Meet on Calle Larga and Tomás Ordoñez, bring your painting supplies: bucket, rags, scrub brushes, scrapers, and paint brushes and rollers if you have them. Very exciting to see how wonderful Calle Larga is looking!

If you like what you see, and think that the city looks better, safer, and more inviting, it is because of the work of our volunteers and because of the City's commitment to this project.

If you can't come out with a paintbrush, that's certainly understandable. Of our current 632 members, many work full-time, many have commitments, but we invite you to please donate whatever amount you can to the GoFundMe campaign, as we work to Keep Cuenca Beautiful.

Donate here: or if you prefer to make a cash donation, you can donate directly to the paint store - email me for details.

Saturday, February 1, from 9 AM to ?, Free, Calle Larga y Tomás Ordoñez, Cuenca.
