Free introductory talk on Reiki for prospective patients and practitioners

Elizabeth Cohen will be offering Reiki sessions and training at Casa Bienestar Health Center beginning in November 2019. She will be offering a free introductory talk on Reiki for prospective patients and practitioners – and anyone else who’s interested - on November 12 at 2 PM at Casa Bienestar Health Center. A limited number of free mini-sessions will also be scheduled at that time.

Reiki is a traditional Japanese technique of energy healing for stress reduction and relaxation. It has been adopted by several hospitals and medical institutions such as the Johns Hopkins Integrative Medicine and Digestive Center. Practitioners deliver Reiki by "laying on of hands," with hands above but not touching the body, and/or via distance. Reiki accelerates the body's self-healing abilities, aids better sleep, reduces blood pressure, and can help with acute injuries as well as chronic problems. Reiki helps to relieve pain, supports the immune system, increases vitality, can assist the body in cleaning itself from toxins, and can postpone the aging process. Reiki can help recipients to better cope with difficulties, developing emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being.

A Reiki Master with a Ph.D. in Education, Cohen has had a lifetime of experience as a healer, an award-winning interdisciplinary artist, and an internationally recognized educator. She has recently moved to Cuenca. Elizabeth Cohen received her Reiki Master Level Certification in the Usui System of Natural Healing in 2011 and practiced Reiki at the 1st and 2nd levels for 10 years prior to that time. She has practiced Reiki in the USA and South Korea both in person and via distance. She has successfully treated physical and psychological ailments in humans and animals.

In her November 12 talk at Casa Bienestar Health Center, she will discuss:

• Problems that Reiki can help with

• What a typical healing session is like
• Case studies of patients with whom she has worked
