Darling little Emma needs a new loving home - Could it be yours? Please

Darling Emma is looking for a new home. She is a miniature Schnauzer about 4-years old and she’s been spayed. She is current on her vaccinations and does not have any health issues. Her Veterinarian is Dr. Javier Gallardo. She is groomed and just adorable.

Emma would prefer not to be picked up although she is a fabulous lap dog. She’s a compact and a fun-size doggie. Working on house training and Emma is still not totally housebroken and so she will have an accident if she mimics the other two doggies who are not completely housebroken. Frequent trips outside with lots of reinforcement will help her learning process. Emma loves affection and sleeps on the bed with her owner. She has no history of biting humans.

We don’t know if she would be compatible with a kitty. She prefers respectful adults and older children. We believe she would do best as an only doggie in a calm environment.

She has been known to be feisty from time to time. If you have small doggies, you know what I’m talking about. Oh, she’s so smart and sometimes an escape artist. Emma is not fond of loud noises like thunder. Bottom line is that she is lively and a joy to have in the home.

Here’s what the current owner is saying:

I have three dogs that are all rescued in one form or another. Unfortunately, two of the dogs--both spayed females--have taken an intense dislike to each other and have had some ferocious fights. Right now, I have them separated, taking turns in the crate I have. My experience from other dogs is that once animus has been established it won't go away. For their safety, I need to re-home one. It is a decision that is very difficult, I love them both.

Emma responds to cues. For example, I can say, "Outside" or "a fuera" (she's somewhat bilingual) and she will go to the door. She responds to her name and comes when called.
