Cuenca Soup Kitchen - Collecting gently used clothes

The Cuenca Soup Kitchen will be at Nucallacta Cafe in the Otorongo Plaza tomorrow, Friday, from 11 AM – 1 PM collecting you donations of gently used clothes and housewares that can be distributed to people who are in need of these items. How are they distributed? We have a new "store" space on Padre Aguiere. All donations are displayed in the "store" and each family that frequents the soup kitchen is given a $35 voucher to come and get what they need for themselves and their families. What sizes are needed? I often get emails that say that the "Store" needs clothes but I do not list the needed sizes. Our soup kitchen serves over 1,200 lunches a week and our guests come in all shapes and sizes.

Thank you for your support. We will be collecting gently used clothes and housewares every other Friday at Nucallacta. We will also be accepting cash donations if you would like to help support our ongoing soup kitchen.

Friday, October 25 from 11 AM – 1 PM, free, Nucallacta Cafe, Otorongo Plaza, Cuenca.
