Yellow fever vaccination age limit

If you're over 59 years old you can't get a yellow fever vaccination in Ecuador and I guess anywhere else. You're considered too old for the possible negative side effects.

There has been only one reported/confirmed case of yellow fever in Ecuador in each of the last two years. Both were very deep in the Amazon.

Some countries require a yellow fever vaccination for entry. So, does that mean they won't let you in? No, you'll be considered "exempt" because of your age if you're over 59.
