Tagging Graffiti Removal Program

The city of Cuenca has just approved a proposal in which the city residents can, with the full permission and support of the government, begin removing the unsightly tagged graffiti we are seeing throughout Cuenca. If you are tired of the tagging (not the beautiful murals) you are seeing on walls, columns and store fronts on almost every street and want to help, then we need you.

Not only do we need volunteers to assist in the giant task of removing the tagged graffiti throughout the city but we need people with a financial background, at least one bilingual administrator and two interpreters. If you can help in any of these three areas contact us immediately.

We have set an open meeting time and date to explain the plan, answer questions and sign-up volunteers. Again, if you are frustrated with what you are seeing around our beautiful city then take the time and join us.

This hour and a half long meeting will start at 10 AM this Thursday, September 12th, in the second floor meeting room of the Cuenca Cultural Center (Cultura de Cuenca) which is the long, white, two story building on the south east corner of Benigno and Grand Colombia.

Thursday, September 12th from 10 AM to 11:30 AM Free, Cuenca Cultural Center, Benigno y Grand Colombia, Cuenca.
