Help reunite this Ecuadorian family

Most of you know the story of Maria. A miracle will happen next week, and we are inviting you to be a part of it. Any mother wishes their children are a part of their lives, but Maria has not been so lucky. Faced with near death, she has been separated from her children for years. Actually, they have not all been together in 8 years and her children were told their mother was dead.

On Tuesday, we are leaving for Santo Domingo to pick up Maria’s two boys. We are then going to PortoViejo to pick up her daughter and then heading to Crucita for a few days. The purpose of this trip is so that a psychologist will get a chance to assess how Maria and her children interact. The goal is that the children will come to Cuenca to live with her. We can get government supports once that happens to help them live independently. We will also be signing an agreement with the Catholic University in the next few weeks, committing to supporting this family with nursing and other supports.

We have received $250 in donations toward this trip, however it will cost us much more. We have to feed 7 people, pay for car rental, hotel rooms for 4 days, and buy things for the children. If you would like to support this family reunification you can do so by paypal or by visiting our Thrift Shop at Juan Montalvo 8-18 and Mariscal Sucre. If you would like more information, please contact us. Thank you for your support.
