Update on HdE move

Hogar de Esperanza is so grateful for your patience and support during our move. It has been a challenge renovating a building with over 28 rooms. We have encountered numerous maintenance issues, a stove blowing up, leaks, no hot water or internet... we have seen it all. But over the past month, our volunteers have done an amazing job and we have started moving people to the new location.

We still have some major issues to resolve. We need to buy beds and furniture and a new hot water system. We apologize to those who may feel we have not responded in a timely manner, however, with spotty internet and such a heavy workload, it has been difficult to respond. Everything should be back to normal by September 1st.

Your support is needed to help us finish. We particularly need men´s and women´s sweaters and jackets for the many migrants being referred to us by Casa del Migrante and Posado San Francisco. When you drop in with your donations, we would be more than happy to give you a tour of our new facility. Juan Montalvo 8-18 and Mariscal Sucre. We are open daily from 10 AM-6 PM. http://www.hogaresperanza.org/en/donations/
