Recommendation for el Jeque Restaurant, Lebanese restaurant

With a hankering for Hummus and Falafel, we arrived 1 hour before opening (and these fine people opened up for us). El Jeque is open every day beginning at 1 PM and is conveniently located near the Super Maxi de Las Americas. A modest, heated patio make this a great ethnic food option. They also have a spirited to go business with fresh pita and hummus. I loved my Falafel, shawarma and Barry his (Mixed shawarma with beef and chicken) plus a starter hummus. The French Fries were the best we've had in Cuenca and there are burger and wing options as well though not our choice yesterday due to our craving for middle eastern food. The shawarma was so large, we have a second meal for today's lunch and prices are modest. Next time you're at this Super Maxi try them out.
