Cuenca Diabetes Support Group – Today, Monday, July 22, 3 PM

As the Joslin Diabetes Organization reports, support groups are important and helpful to people with diabetes, because they provide a place to meet others who share similar medical and even emotional challenges.

People with diabetes are not "diabetics," they are people living with a condition that can be successfully managed, sometimes with lifestyle alone, and sometimes with both lifestyle and medication.

You don't have to have diabetes to join the group, but maybe you have a partner or spouse who needs your support. Join in.

By meeting with others who have diabetes, you can feel that the members of the group can understand your own experience firsthand.

This Monday we'll meet at my apartment in El Centro. Please contact me to confirm that you are coming and for the location. As always, there are no dues or fees. Donations to Cuenca's Casa de la Diabetes will be accepted. They provide low cost and free medications and education for all people, children and adults, who are living with diabetes.

Monday July 22, from 3 to 4:30 PM, Free or $5 donation, Please contact me for location, Cuenca.
