Open meditation and discussion on Buddhism, every Wednesday

Cuenca Shambhala welcomes you to our mid-week program: a half hour of open, seated meditation followed directly by a bilingual discussion on a theme of Buddhism with consecutive interpretation in English and Spanish. Themes for the first four weeks will be The Four Immeasurables: Loving Kindness, Compassion, Sympathetic Joy, and Equanimity. All are welcome, whether or not you have experience in meditation.*

Schedule: 7 – 7:30 PM seated meditation, 7:30 – 8:30 PM, discussion on the theme, in a format inspired by the Talking Circles of American indigenous peoples. It’s completely free, bilingual, and no reservations are necessary, so come as you are and invite your friends. Chairs and cushions are available for everyone. Feel free to reply with questions here.

Location: Calle Larga 8-81, east of Benigno Malo, upstairs in Namaste Restaurant.

*If you’re new to meditation, instructions are available online: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a3sd7RCZ-Fg
