Important information from the Hogar

We have been, over the past month, talking about our Vision, Mission and now Values. One of our most important values is Collaboration. It states, We cooperate with other organizations to find opportunities to work together for the betterment of the lives of those we serve. One reason for collaboration is to prevent the surfing of various agencies and duplication of services. We require any person we assist, disclose all assistance received from other agencies.

Besides our cooperation with the hospitals, we cooperate with the Universities and other foundations. Just this week, we provided clothing to a client of CETAP Lucy and took in a client of Casa del Migrante who needed assistance. Besides our long term resident who suffered a brain injury, we also received a patient who was in an accident and someone who suffered a stoke. All these patients require therapy, so the University of Cuenca sent us a team of nurses to provide the needed therapies.

Collaboration helps us do things in the most effective way possible and at the lowest cost. We are proud of the fact that Foundation Hogar de Esperanza is widely respected in the Ecuadorian community for our cooperation and effective methods of providing assistance. We regularily meet with other foundations to discuss issues and to share insights. If you would like to more about our work, please visit us at:  http://www.hogaresperanza.org/en/about-us/
