Friends of Ikiam - Cuenca monthly meeting

Friends of Ikiam – Cuenca will hold its monthly meeting on Wednesday, June 19th at 5 PM at The Castle. This month we will briefly update you on the progress toward setting up a separate organization for the vital biocorredor project. At our meeting this month, we will begin discussing other challenges that the Achuar culture will be facing in the future. We will have a group discussion about water quality of the rivers that feed into and through Achuar territory. We will also begin a discussion about sustainable agriculture, a topic which will become more and more important to the Achuar communities living in the Amazon rainforest.

We welcome everyone who is interested in the preservation of Achuar culture and protection of their pristine rainforest environment. If you have expertise in hydrology or eco-hydrology, waste treatment, waste site/pollution remediation, sustainable agriculture or related subjects, please come and contribute to our education in these areas.

We hope you can join us on the evening of the 19th. Please note that the meeting will start at 5 PM since the restaurant is now closing at 7 PM.
