Susudel and Oña, a day of nature and history, a great day with Adrian Aguirre

We will start the day at 7:30 AM from Plaza Otorongo follow by a great breakfast at La Yunta with fresh fruit, sausages and eggs, homemade bread, coffee or tea, agua de frescos.

Our first stop will be the fantatstic Cañon where the condors nest and it will be the future National park of Ecuador, from here you can see the Mirador del Rio Leon and if we are lucky we will see the fantastic flight of the condor after we will do a stop at Susudel town center where we will learn a bit about this pretty town, visit the old Capilla and see the statue of our beloved Arturo Condor.

Afterwards we will go to Oña where we are going to visit a local farm where we will be able to harvest some fresh vegetables and then we will visit the fantastic town, starting at the old part call San Francisco and making our way down to the new part town,

Then we will go for lunch to a local restaurant, the menu choices are:

1. Cream of carrot soup
Chicken in a creamy mushroom sauce, sauteed potatoes and vegetables
Ice cream

2. Vegetables soup
Sauteed beef with potatoes and salad
Ice cream

3. Cream of carrot soup
Quinua omelet with lentils and rice
Ice cream

If you have any food restrictions please let me know and we will be very happy to accommodate the lunch menu to you.

On our way back to Cuenca we will stop in Trancahuayco tequila factory to learn about the production and history of this local drink and of course have a sip of it.

We will be back in Cuenca by 6:30 PM. We will walk in easy paths but if you feel like bringing a walking stick, please do.
