Beginner’s Spanish classes starting Wednesday, May 22nd

Frustrated with previous Spanish learning experiences? Discouraged by a heavy grammar focus or the teacher’s correction of your every mistake? Stymied by trying to make conversation with your one-on-one teacher for an hour? Bored of stories that don’t relate to what you want to learn?

Come try my Spanish class. Languages are my passion: over the course of my life I've learned to speak 7 languages (to varying degrees of fluency). I have a Masters in Teaching. I am a National Board Certified Teacher with 10 years of experience teaching Spanish in Tacoma, WA, with a proven track record of helping my students to achieve speaking, listening, reading, and writing proficiency in Spanish. However, my focus is on speaking.

I first learned Spanish in the Peace Corps in Guatemala 16 years ago, and my partner and I are raising our three children bilingually.

My classes are kinesthetic (we have actions that go with each vocabulary word to help remember them and spend much of the class on our feet in a circle…), interactive (we spend most of the time practicing and conversing with each other), student-directed (we learn what you want to learn) and fun.

Class is for beginners (Novice level speakers), and is on Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:45 AM to 11:45 AM. Cost is $10/hour. There is a maximum of 8 students in the class. Only 4 spots left.

Location is within a short walk of Ordoñez Lasso.. Wednesdays and Fridays, 10:45 AM to 11:45 AM
