Ecuador Agricultural Tour (EAT) booking now and special discounts

Ecuador Agricultural Tour (EAT) has two tours in Spring, 2019: 20-29 March and 20-29 June .
There are a few spaces open for March -- Call today.

Our mission is to educate the traveler about the rich agricultural landscapes in Ecuador and the ancient customs of our indigenous partners and their land. We are a fully guided tour.

Our tours are agricultural tours and equally important, deeply cultural experiences as well. We hope the visitor will learn about other peoples' unique ways and gain understanding of Ecuador, the remarkable riches of its people and the land. This is a small tour - we are usually 10-12 travelers -- family groups, university groups, backyard gardeners, farmers, ranchers and many other curious folks join us from across the world.

We will introduce you to several communities of indigenous around the country working their land - often for centuries and despite colonialism. We will share planting and harvest depending on the season, meals, cooking tips and conversations with the community, learn about medicinal plants and much more.

We want the visitor to share in some of the AG celebrations or fiestas de Pachamama. We will visit the mercados to taste fruits and vegetables and traditional foods. Our partners will share parts of Ecuador's traditions rarely experienced by foreigners. We travel up the mountains and across Los Andes down thousands of feet into the Amazon region for beautiful tropical scenery, rivers and growing regions for cacao and coffee. Due to Ecuador's reasonably small size we are able to give the visitor an intensive experience in 9 days, covering many types of growing regions and ecosystems. We take a pace suitable for each group and on the way, we stay in good, small hotels.

We could never show you everything in one tour, but we’re going to show you enough to hopefully whet your appetite for return visits to our country. The tour winds down in Quito where this UNESCO award-winning colonial city awaits with special culinary delights and the amazing Jardin Botanico inside Parque Carolina.
