Lions Club Lunch Meeting Monday, October 15, special guests

Some great news is that we’re growing rapidly and are making excellent progress towards having the 20 members we need to be chartered.

At this upcoming meeting, we expect to have these guests:

G-2 District Governor (Head of Lions Clubs in Ecuador), Ricardo Alava
Past G-2 District Governor, Carlos Vàsquez
G-2 Second Vice Governor, Jorge Fernández and wife Cristina
President of Guayaquil Rocafuerte Club, Jaime Lanata and wife Martha

They’re very excited at the progress we’ve made, and hope to “clone” our English speaking group in both Quito and Guayaquil (both have relatively large numbers of expats).

If you are not currently a chartered member, now would be an excellent time to charter with us. You might be the person to get us to the “magic” 20 members. It would be great (if you have the desire to do so) to join us at this meeting—what a surprise for our guests.

If you are not familiar with Lions Clubs, please visit the web site:  www.lionsclubs.org

Our club’s initial focus will be on addressing the needs for early childhood vision screenings, intended for identifying earliest eye disease to prevent blindness. We will then add additional activities as desired by the membership.

Monday, October 15th Meeting 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM. Come if you can at 12:30 and enjoy the great Tex-Mex food. Meeting, free; Lunch approx $7-$11., El Rey Del Burrito Cuenca located at Alfonso Cordero 2-93 y Manuel J Calle across the street from SuperMaxi El Vergel. Cuenca.
