Cuenca Lions Club Meeting, Monday, October 15

Well, our next Cuenca Lions Club lunch meeting will be on Monday, October 15th.

Some great news is that we’re growing rapidly and are making very excellent progress towards having the 20 members we need to be chartered.

At this upcoming meeting, we expect to have the G-2 District Governor of Lions Clubs of Ecuador in attendance. He’s very excited at the progress we’ve made, and hopes to “clone” our English speaking group in both Quito and Guayaquil (both have relatively large numbers of expats).

If you are not currently a chartered member, now would be an excellent time to charter with us. YOU might be the person to get us to the “magic” 20 members. It would be great (if you have the desire to do so) to join us at this meeting—what a surprise for the Governor.

If you are not familiar with Lions Clubs, please visit the web site:

Our club’s initial focus will be on addressing the needs for early childhood vision screenings, intended for identifying earliest eye disease to prevent blindness. We will then add additional activities as desired by the membership.
