Great food at Sunrise Cafe

My husband and I stopped at Sunrise Cafe for lunch and decided to try something different. I ordered the fish tacos; huge tacos with delicious fried fish chunks, shredded cabbage, mango salsa and rice and beans. My husband ordered the Cobb Salad; sooo good.

I could only finish 1 taco so my husband ate the other one and I tasted his salad. Sunrise is a truly excellent place to eat home style favorites and many tasty popular dishes prepared with just the right sauces and spices and very reasonable prices.

The BBQ is the best around. Not only the smoked meats, the sides are yumm; great potato salad,
delicious beans, 3 colored cole slaw. And, corn bread. The Combo Platter for $30 with 4 meats and sides is enough for 3 or 4 people. Unfortunately the BBQ is only Friday nights, but it is too good to be only served one night a week. Hopefully they'll add it to the weekend menu.

Must say too that their hamburgers are exceptional.

Orlando is constantly working to expand the menu and bring new delights to Cuenca.

Remember Orlando, Frank, and staff are bi-lingual, and the service is attentive, friendly and fun.
Highly recommend eating at Sunrise Cafe, and take home some smoked bacon or sausage or lots of tasty dishes prepared for eating at home.

One more thing, even though this is in an old historic building, sanitation is excellent.

Opens at 7:30 for breakfast, serves lunch and dinner, Calle Larga just before Benigno Malo.
