A day visiting Callimanta Plantation and Restaurante Corvel in Paute

We would like to invite you for a fantastic day in Paute, Wednesday, September 26. We will pick you up at 9 AM one block from Ave 3 de Noviembre and Roberto Aguilar, by the street where Sabatinos Restaurante is, one block from Plaza Otorongo. If you get lost call me: 098 945 6551.

We will drive you to Paute where Callimanta Plantation is, Patricio Coronel owner of Callimanta Company and Restaurant Corvel will welcome us with a delicioso glass of Yaguana, drink made with fruits and sangoracha.

We will visit the plantation and production room where the Callimanta herbs are grown and processed and meet Anita the lady in charge of the Callimanta Community. It is an easy walk but do wear comfortable shoes.

Afterwards we are going to have a small cooking class where Patricio will teach us how to cook using his products, Quinua and Callimanta

For lunch we will go to his fantastic Restaurante El Corvel where we can enjoy the best local food cook by Patricio and his team.

After lunch we will go for a walk around Paute center and eat the best locally made ice cream.

And on our way to Cuenca we will stop at Corporacion Azende where we will visit Zhumir Cava and learn a bit more about this traditional drink from Paute.

During lunch Marco Abad will explain to us a bit about his Mistelas made with fruits from Bulan.
