New Class at the UAM: Move with Balance

The Universidad del Adulto Mayor (UAM: University for Seniors) is offering a new workshop this semester entitled Move with Balance, which is especially for English-speaking seniors. It aims to improve balance, promote physical and cognitive integration and well-being, and, ultimately, prevent the falls and injuries so often experienced by seniors. Here is a brief description of the class:
Move With Balance, a highly original class that blends live music with specific movements that enhance cognitive skills and coordination.

In the award-winning Move With Balance class, you will experience a variety of “exercises”, some of which involve stretching, playing childhood games, sensory integration, vision improvement, and rest and relaxation.

All this and more as you “move” to live original music and adaptations to “oldies”. You will actually end up improving your brain and your balance. What fun.

Instructors: Karen Peterson and Bill Fuller
