Info for restaurants about a certain habit when buying shrimp

Hello, this is Luis from Luvimar wishing you a great day. There is some information I would like to share with prepared food businesses and people in general. about buying shrimp a certain way...

- When you buy "shell on" shrimp which you would think is cheaper, you are buying a "peeling from" size, which means that when you peel and devein it, it's reduced one size and you lose approximately 15% of its weight in the process. So, if you're buying a 26-30 size shell on, after peeling and deveining it, it turns into a 31-35 and you are losing quite a bit of product.

- When you buy our shrimp, you are obtaining a "finished count" size, which means that the size you bought is the size you are getting at the end of the road and not only that. By buying P & D shrimp, you are avoiding the operation costs of having someone peeling and deveining, and the costs of loss of product during the process.

- Our shrimp and tilapia are raised with absolutely no antibiotics, processed fresh and immediately sent to IQF tunnels which freeze them in 2 minutes, maintaining the texture, humidity and flavor of an export quality product. It also avoids the formation of bacteria and the cross contamination that may happen when the product is frozen in cold storage.

- Last but not least, our bags carry a larger quantity of shrimp than what's marked to compensate for the ice, that way you have the guarantee that you are taking pure shrimp and not water. All for the same price.

We are located on Luis Moreno Mora #5-85 & Roberto Crespo Toral (Half a block from the Rione Hotel).
