Please make plans to join us at Sunrise Café (Calle Larga 9-40 y Benigno Malo) today, April 13th, from 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM. We will be sampling selected La Primavera's Cream O'Gurt organic yogurts. The yogurts are packed with live active cultures ensuring your daily dose of beneficial bacteria called probiotics. Made the old-world way, our yogurts are locally sourced and authentically crafted, batch by single batch to preserve seasonal flavors for enjoying fruit in different forms and over 10 different flavors: banana/guineo, coconut, guanabana, blackberry/mora, mango, naranjilla, passion fruit/maracuya, peach, pineapple/pina, strawberry and plain. Cream O'Gurt yogurts are priced at $3.75/liter or $2/500 ml.

Do you know that the organic yogurt with probiotics is considered a superfood? It is because it is made from dairy that’s fermented into a creamy food packed with beneficial probiotics and is a balanced source of protein, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals. When it’s sourced from grass-fed cows, then yogurt’s nutrition is maximized, supplying omega-3 fatty acids, the protein, calcium, magnesium, potassium, vitamin D, vitamin K2, enzymes and probiotics.

It’s believed that fermenting of dairy milk dates back over 6,000 years to Central Asia as a way to preserve milk. Historical records place yogurt in India, Persia and Turkey not long after it was seen in Central Asia. Back then, fresh milk was often carried in the stomach linings of animals, where many believe the healthy bacteria, along with the climate, contributed to the fermentation.
