I need recommendations for free software to teach English to EC kids

I have an "adopted" Cuenca family and for Christmas I gave them a computer and I pay for Internet. They are anxious to learn English beyond what their school offers, and I need your recommendation for software (free or low-priced) that they can use at their home to learn English.
