WED (Women's Entrepreneurship Day)

Women's Entrepreneurship Day (WED) is a global initiative with the mission to celebrate, support and empower women in business worldwide. It was initiated in 2014 by the WED Organization - headquartered in New York City at the United Nations.

WED is the world’s largest celebration of women innovators and job creators launching startups that bring ideas to life, drive economic growth and expand human welfare. We convene Business Leaders, Government Officials and Civil society to collaborate and find solutions in critical areas of entrepreneurship eco-systems, education and policy creation to empower women in business. Through our movement we have grown to be celebrated in 144 countries and 110 universities.

This year is the first time we come to Ecuador. Through our Ambassador Elisa Munoz, we will be hosting the WED Event in Cuenca on Nov 22 at "Museo de la Ciudad". Come and meet local entrepreneurs, and have a networking coffee break with them. The event is free.

Follow us on Facebook to keep updated as WED Ecuador and Instagram as @wedecuador

November 22nd, from 5 PM to 7 PM, Museo de la Ciudad, Cuenca.
