Visit Nabon, a paradise in the south; second part

Friday, October 13, we will pick you up at Plaza Otorongo at 8:30, drive you to La Yunta where we are going to enjoy a fantastic breakfast of a selection of homemade bread with butter and jam, fruit salad with granola and yogurt, free range eggs with ham, tea and coffee, fresh juice.

By 10, and with a full belly, we drive to Nabon. We will visit Charqui and Belen, two small communities of Nabon where we will make a few stops to see some local people and their activity, also a fantastic pre-historic area.

Afterwards we will go to visit a water mill over 400 years old, owned by Srtas Maldonado. We will need to walk 700 m on a flat, easy path but do bring your walking stick if you need one. The walk is fantastic and you will enjoy the great view. If you can’t walk, we arrange a pick-up truck to help us with the transport, so don’t worry.

For lunch we will visit China Vintimilla and her paradaise to enjoy a great chicken soup cooked in a wooden stove and for dessert fresh strawberries with cream and fruit juice.

At China place we will have a tequila tasting, also agave honey and more. If you like strawberries there will be some to buy too.

We will be back to Cuenca by 5 PM. The cost for the day is $25, all inclusive. To book your space please do send an email to:

It is going to be a fantastic day, so do join us.
