Portuguese food and music

Join us at el Salón this Friday for a magical evening of Portuguese food and music.

Portuguese music comes from the soul. You won’t want to miss Edria Barberi singing a selection of fado music – a melancholic experience whether you understand the lyrics or not! – alongside other Portuguese classics. You can hear Edria in advance on our Facebook page.

The night costs $12 per person and includes a sharing menu of traditional Portuguese dishes:

Caldo verde (individual)
A hearty ‘green soup’ prepare with potatoes, kale, garlic, olive oil and salt with chunky chorizo pieces.

Polvo a lagareiro
A dish of octopus, served cold with olive oil and parsley

Vaca com grao
A deliciously warming slow-cooked stew prepared with succulent beef pieces, chickpeas and vegetables in broth

Arroz caldoso
Like a Portuguese version of Spanish paella, this is a rice cooked in a flavourful broth with shrimp, mussels, calamari, garlic, bay leaf, cilantro, parsley, salt and pepper

Don’t miss this magical evening, book your table today via email, Facebook, phone or WhatsApp.
