Introduction to Pilates Workshop at SkyFit

Pilates exercises focus on your body’s core — the abdominal muscles, obliques, lower back and buttocks. The majority of Pilates exercises use many muscles in synchronization, while putting emphasis on proper form/posture.

Pilates develops strength, flexibility, muscular endurance, coordination, balance, and good posture. Boredom will never be a factor, as there are endless exercise variations and progressions. With so many variations and levels, Pilates is suitable for beginners to advanced individuals.
*Pilates should only be taught by fully certified and qualified instructors with a strong background in biomechanics to ensure the proper execution of exercises.

Join Sky as she takes you through the basics of Pilates and demonstrates variations of mat Pilates utilizing the exercise ball, bands, weights, etc.

Monday October 30th from 3 PM - 5 PM. $10. Please wear comfortable clothing to exercise in. The class is done barefoot. Bring water. Handouts are included in the workshop.
