Art exhibit at La Alcaldía de Cuenca

Wednesday night, October 25, at 7 PM at Cuenca City Hall, on the corner of Simon Bolívar and Presidente Borrero, marks the formal opening of the art exhibit titled “La Realidad Como Pretexto Y El Mito Y Lo Efímero,” which translates as "The Reality as Pretext and the Myth and the Ephemeral.” The exhibit is the result of the collaboration of former ambassador Dr. Byron Morejón and wife Maria Eulalia Corral, and consists of drawings, large modern paintings in bold colors, and sculpture. They both have been celebrated artists around the world.

The art will be for sale. The drawings are typically around $400, and the large paintings, between $800 and $2,500. If anyone is interested in getting first dibs and special rates by attending the inauguration this Wednesday, please contact Michel Blanchard at Fusión Ideal to be on the guest list. The exhibit is on display for one month.

The mayor, the director of culture of Cuenca, and many other dignitaries of the city and of the province, will be attending this event.
