Full day el Chorro - Giron

This waterfall is born in the prolongation of the páramo del Cajas. Yunguilla is an extensive depression, approximately 55 km. from Cuenca. We leave at 8 AM and taking the road heading south, we will pass through large pastures, cattle and agricultural areas. We will pass by the Portete de Tarqui, place in which a monument in honor of the people who fought in the battle of Tarqui rises. We will arrive at Girón a small town from which we will embark our way towards the jet. The Girón jet is an ideal place to walk, admire the landscape, the flora of the place. We will find a spectacular waterfall. We will continue towards the Museum of Giron to visit a small but full of history of the Country. The tour will take us to the Yunguilla Valley privileged for its climate and abundant flora and fauna, conducive to the cultivation of sugar cane. If time allows, a sugarcane plantation with its manual sugar mill will be visited, for the distillation of sugar cane and the production of alcohol. Return to the city of Cuenca appreciating exquisite landscapes and variety of climates in a few minutes of travel. Lunch included.- Price per person $50.
