Social bridge in a public venue

We have managed to make arrangements for a permanent, public place to hold social bridge games. There are many advantages to this vs playing in each other’s homes:

- You don’t have to clean your house
- Everyone is welcome
- You don’t have to provide food or drink of any sort
- You don’t have to call everyone you know trying to find 4 players
- You can play even if you don’t know any other bridge players
- Visitors to Cuenca have a place to play even if they don’t know anyone
- Beginners can come and play and have expert advice available
- You can come all by yourself, you don’t need to bring a partner
- You can play when you’re available and don’t have to make a commitment of any kind
- You can come with a partner or with a table of 4 if you like
- The venue is in Puerta del Sol and is within walking distance for everyone that lives on the west side and is easily reached by bus or cab
- You can bring anything you would like to eat or drink
- It’s a beautiful place with side tables for treats
- Glasses, dishes, cutlery and ice are all available
- Since we will be using electricity, water, toilet tissue and so on, there will be a small cost to cover these items. The fee will be $2 each time you play
- Games will be held on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays from 12:45 PM to 4:30 PM

This is a wonderful opportunity to promote the growth of bridge in Cuenca and give everyone a chance to play. We need players to make this work or we won’t be able to cover the rent for the facility, so please support us by playing as often as you can. There will be a zero tolerance policy for rudeness of any kind. We’re trying to build a fun, supportive place to play bridge.
