Sliced liver

Recently I wanted some fresh beef liver. SuperMaxi had several tubs of it that looked good but it was almost 2" thick whereas I need about 1/2-3/4" I asked the butcher to slice it. He said, "No." I bought a package anyway, but it has so much internal tough gristle, etc., it takes me 20 minutes to slice enough for two for dinner. Is there some place near Av. Las Americas where I might find some that is sliced and refrigerated?
