Cuenca Garden Co-op seed and seedling update

We have been busy harvesting seeds and we have a good supply of tomatoes, peppers, and more, plus we will be starting seedlings of many tomatoes and peppers. Plus, we have seeds for our favorite melon, Tuscany, a small Italian heirloom cantaloupe type, and a winter squash from Australia, named Red Kurt, with orange skin and flesh; very tasty. Both are field tested here in Cuenca to do well in containers on your deck or patio.

Our tomato varieties include: opalka, our favorite heirloom paste tomato; Cherokee purple and Cherokee green, Nebraska Wedding (a large yellow heirloom), Heinz Classic (medium red), and two cherries, Sun Gold and Golden Sunburst.
For peppers we feature the following, all heirloom varieties: Northern King (sweet red), Sweet Banana, Anaheim, Corno del Toro, Habanero, JalapeƱo and Serrano.

We have some special herbs and greens: a Chinese cabbage, similar to pak chop, called Savoy; an amazingly spicy arugula, named Dragon's Tongue, a very nice fennel, and some chamomile.
Okra lovers alert! We will begin harvesting large quantities of okra, five varieties, very soon. We have one commercial client, but we welcome new private clients to become regulars in our new season of okra ( we have over 100 plants now, so the volume of fruit should be enough to satisfy all of our Southern friends.

On that note, for you who love to grill, barbecue and smoke fish, fowl and meats we will have a special on our cherry and apple wood in honor of Father's us for details.
