Mompiche Animal Refuge update, list of supplies

Thanks to Gringopost for sending out all these disaster updates and requests and keeping a network of miracles flowing.

Roni has sent a list of things that Mompiche refuge needs, these things are worth more than money, please buy an item and we can send it up there.

Here is a complete list of animals, their food requirements for one month, and medicines used most regularly at the shelter:

Fabiola ( the landlady of the refuge) has since taken in some more dogs and cats, so updated numbers are as follows:

25 dogs
20 cats
15 birds (chickens, ducks, geese)
17 horses
3 cows

Food requirements for one month:

150kg dog food
60kg cat food
50kg cracked corn
900kg horse feed
300kg cow feed (she said "balanceado" but I don't know what's in it - I'm assuming it’s a supplement feed)

5 gallons Flea shampoo for dogs
1 gallon tick wash for horses and cows
250ml anti-parasite paste for dogs and cats
250ml anti-parasite paste for horses and cows
2-3 cans purple spray (for open wounds) on all animals (I don't know what it's actually called .. Betadine?)
100ml injectable antibiotics for dogs and cats
Injectable Scabies/mange medicine for dogs and cats
500ml liquid vitamins for horses
240g flea talc for dogs

3ml and 5ml syringes are also necessary.

There are currently 3 sick cats and one sick dog at the refuge. Fabiola has asked if it is possible for either a veterinarian to come, or for monetary donations so she can send the animals to a veterinarian in Esmeraldas (this cost will include transport)

At the refuge: All three buildings need to be pulled down and rebuilt. Approximately $10,000 will be sufficient to rebuild if this can be raised.

It would be much easier to have foods and medicines delivered. However, if that is not possible, money to buy these things is also appreciated. Fabiola thanks you all from the bottom of her heart. I will be your direct contact for her during this time. My number in Ecuador is: 098 120 2168. Please call any time.
