Self Defense Course for Women, starts Monday, February 5

There is still time and room to register for the Self Defense Course for Women starting Monday, February 5.

The demonstration by Alliance Jiu Jitsu was fantastic and it is going to be an incredible course. Many of you may be wondering why the course is so long - 8 weeks / 16 classes. Well, you can't learn self-defense in a one or two day workshop - anyone offering that is selling you a false sense of security.

You must repeat and practice the techniques over and over again in order to learn the techniques to be able to use them in a real life attack. Repetition and practice over 8 weeks will build your muscle memory and develop your confidence.

It's OK if you must miss a few classes: there will be 2 or 3 instructors at every class to give you individual attention and make sure you are learning each technique properly.

Women of all ages, sizes and physical abilities are welcome. If you have concerns, please contact JungleGym.

The course meets every Monday and Wednesday 4 - 5:30 PM (class on Monday, February 12 will be moved to Friday, February 16, due to Carnaval). Cost is $60 cash, $65 credit card.
