Giron, a day of nature, history and good food

Friday, February 9, we will pick you up at 8:30 AM at Plaza Otorongo, drive you to La Yunta where Rafa will cook a traditional breakfast from Cuenca called huevos al jugo which is boiled free range eggs with a rich beef and tomato sauce, with homemade bread and butter, fresh juice and tea or coffee.

And then we start our fantastic trip to San Fernando where we are going to visit the impositive Busa Lake where we can enjoy a walk around the lake enjoying the tranquility of the water and the mountain.

After Busa we will go to visit El Chorro de Giron. This very impressive waterfall which is going to impress us with its beauty. After the walk we will enjoy a delicious lunch.

The menu for this trip will be Locro de Papas, Deep fried trout with chips and green salad, and an ice cream for dessert.

On the way back to Cuenca, we will stop by Giron town center where we will visit the Museo de los Tratados where Aida Abril will tell us about Giron History. Back in Cuenca by 6 PM.
